Scott S. Wiggill

Seeking Mayor 4-year term

801-814-7705 - swiggill@aol.com - Since joining the Sunset City Council in 2018, I've supported the causes that matter most to you. I've dedicated myself to serving our great community. In 2024, I stepped up to lead as Mayor through challenging times with the steady leadership you deserve. My track record speaks for itself: I've advocated for senior involvement in city decisions/ events, spearheaded park improvements benefiting families and veterans, and fostered increased community engagement. My service includes board positions with the North Davis Fire District and North Davis Sewer District, bringing valuable regional perspective to local governance. I consistently fight for what makes our community thrive—supporting local businesses, promoting farmers markets, encouraging responsible development, and ensuring our parks and Fun Days remain vibrant community gathering places. Your safety remains my top priority, implementing measures that protect every resident. I listen, act, and deliver results. I build bridges, not walls, fostering the unity our city needs to face tomorrow's challenges. When I'm not serving the community, I cherish time with my family, enjoy music, golf, and escaping to beautiful Flaming Gorge. These moments remind me what truly matters—community, connection, and the natural beauty we're blessed to call home. Together we got this!

Nancy Greco Smalling

Seeking City Council 4-year term

801-390-5072 - nancysmalling@gmail.com - In 2018, I was elected and have had the honor of serving you on the Sunset City Council, and I'm passionate about continuing this work. My heart belongs to our veterans—I go above and beyond advocating for those who served our country and fought for our freedom. Their service and sacrifice deserve our unwavering support.
I proudly serve on both the Mosquito Abatement Board and North Davis Fire District Board, bringing local perspective to decisions that affect our daily lives. What drives me most is bringing our community together. You'll find me at every city event—not just showing up, but actively helping and creating welcoming environments where everyone belongs.
As a friendly face around town, I pride myself on being a great listener. Your concerns matter, and I'm here to ensure your voice is heard at City Hall.
When I'm not serving the community, I treasure time with my family and beloved dogs. I love hunting for elephant antiques in our local shops and supporting veterans alongside my daughter through Utah Agent Orange Veterans events.
Sunset City is my home, and together we can continue building a community that honors our past while embracing our future.

Katherine R. Hunter

Seeking City Council 4-year term

425-595-0651 - katherinehunter000@gmail.com - Katherine Hunter moved to Sunset four years ago and lives there with her husband and four young children. She attends city council meetings and city events regularly, and is an active member of the community. As a mother, homeschooling parent, and substitute teacher for Davis School District, she is acutely aware of the needs of the families in this area.

Katherine graduated from BYU with a degree in Psychology. She believes that listening and connecting are the two most important ways to strengthen the community. Katherine would strive to find better ways to communicate important information and get more people involved in this city’s decision-making process so there are no surprises. She believes in having transparency in government decisions.

As a city council member, Katherine would like to foster community through local events and citizen involvement. She wants to improve the parks for our children, and make this town a place that people are happy to call home. She is also prepared to stand up to Utah’s state legislators when they enact laws that negatively impact small cities. Katherine would be proud to represent Sunset.
